Toronto Bicycle Music Festival
The sound system of this annual festival is pedal powered, includes bike rides through the city as well as mobile performances. For 2012, the festival takes place Saturday September 15th. Elizabeth Callahan delivers homemade lunches consisting of a sandwhich, side and a sweet during weekdays in the downtown core. She delivers between Bathurst to younge and front to Bloor. Art spin organizes free art crawls in which participants travel to a series of Toronto art galleries by bicycle. Art spin takes place the last Thursday of the month. The new shop is even a bit harder to find and it's adivisable to make an appointment, but it's probably worth the effort. Tucked away in the Don Valley one can find a DIY bike repair shop. Bike Works is located at the brick works. They are open spring to fall on the weekends(10am–4pm). It's by donation($7 suggested to use the space + cost of parts) In addition to bike repair they also run bike safety workshops and rent out bikes by the hour.
